Description: November 2006 marks the 15th anniversary of the publication of Putting Women on the Agenda. This text was the compilation of the seminal conference papers presented at a ground breaking conference of the same name, conceived and organized by Susan Bazilli of the IWRP. It was this conference that unanimously passed the resolution that at least 33% of women be elected to Parliament in the future first democratic South African government. In November 2006, a conference will be held at Wits University, as the same venue in Johannesburg, with many of the original conference contributors, to hear their reflections on the past 15 years- what are our reflections of the past; where are we today- and particularly- where are the young women and future leaders of tomorrow; and what are the forward looking strategies?
