Project Summary
Title: Children at Risk: Violence Date: Ongoing Lead organization: International Institute for Child Rights and Development Description: IICRD's new deputy director has carried out extensive research and work in the area of violence prevention. In the summer of 2004, IICRD and UVIC's Aboriginal Liason Office hosted a Gathering on Quadra Island to look at the Prevention of Violence against Indigenous Children. Outcomes from the gathering are being used to inform the UN Secretary General's Study on Violence against Children with respect to specific issues to Indigenous children.
