Amy Haysom consulting the Canadian Commission of UNESCO

September 30, 2005

Amy Haysom, Youth Global Liaison at the CFGS and Youth Consultant for Canadian Commission of UNESCO, participated in the UNESCO Youth Consultation in Ottawa, September 2005, regarding the UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris on September 30 - October 2.

The theme of the Youth Forum was 'Young People and the Dialogue among Civilizations, Cultures and Peoples - Ideas for action in education, the sciences, culture and communication'. As at previous editions of the Forum, this theme was debated in plenary sessions and working groups and resulted in a final report with young people's recommendations and proposals for concrete action, which was then presented to the opening session of the 33rd General Conference on Monday, 3 October and adopted as an official General Conference document to be used in all Commissions.
