Suggested Learning Activities

The following activities are presented as ideas for focusing students on the global change issues presented in the chapter. Whether you decide to develop one, or many, of these activities, they should always be introduced by relating them to major themes contained within the chapter.

THE MAJOR SYSTEMS AFFECTED BY GLOBAL CHANGE

Global Change and Canadians addresses the major global change issues affecting five global systems. These include air, land and natural terrestrial habitat, freshwater and marine systems. The activity suggestions in this section of the Teacher's Guide are provided to encourage learning activities to facilitate understanding of the major issues affecting these systems.
