IGFA - International Group of Funding Agencies for Global Change Research (français)
IGFA was established as an informal partnership of national agencies which fund global change research programs and other supporting activities.
The objectives of IGFA are:
i) to exchange information on national global research programs and facilities,
ii) to discuss approaches to the integration of global change research in light of available resources,
iii) to promote coordination of access to and deployment of specialized research facilities, and
iv) to aim to optimize allocation of national contributions to global change research.
The agenda for IGFA is:
a) resources and allocations for international global change research, with a focus on WCRP, IGBP, and IHDP,
b) Global Observing Systems and Data Management, with a focus on the resource implications and the coordination of efforts with CEOS to implement GCOS, GOOS and others,
c) facilitating research on the socio-economic and human dimensions of global change.

IGFA -International Group of Funding Agencies for Global Change Research [Groupe international d'agences de financement de la recherche sur le changement planétaire]
L'IGFA est un partenariat informel d'organismes nationaux qui financent des programmes de recherche sur le changement planétaire, ainsi que d'autres activités de soutien.
Les objectifs de l'IGFA sont les suivants :
i) diffuser l'information sur les installations et programmes nationaux de recherche sur le changement planétaire;
ii) examiner les manières d'intégrer les recherches sur le changement planétaire à la lumière des ressources disponibles;
iii) promouvoir la coordination de l'accès aux installations de recherche spécialisée et leur mise en oeuvre;
iv) tenter d'optimiser la répartition des contributions nationales aux recherches sur le changement planétaire.
Les centres d'intérêt de l'IGFA sont :
a) la répartition des ressources et des contributions à la recherche internationale sur le changement planétaire, en ce qui concerne en particulier le PMRC, le PIGB et le programme PDH;
b) le SMO et le DM, en ce qui touche surtout à l'aspect des ressources et la coordination des efforts avec le CEOS pour la mise en oeuvre du SMOC, du SMOO et d'autres programmes;
c) l'aide aux recherches sur les dimensions socio-économiques et humaines du changement planétaire.
