IASC - International Arctic Science Committee(français)IASC is a non-governmental scientific organization established to encourage and facilitate international consultation and cooperation in arctic research. The main objective of IASC is to develop science programs for which circumarctic or international cooperation is desirable. The IASC was founded in 1990 by national scientific organizations of all the Arctic countries, and membership has recently expanded to include other non-Arctic countries. IASC is a multidisciplinary endeavour spanning the entire Arctic region. The implementation of an Arctic Global Change Programme Office has recently begun, and Finland has offered to fund and host this office at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, Rovaniemi.

L'IASC est une entreprise multidisciplinaire s'étendant à toute la région de l'Arctique. L'implantation d'un Bureau du programme sur le changement planétaire dans l'Arctique a commencé récemment. La Finlande a offert de financer et d'installer ce bureau au Centre sur l'Arctique, Université de Lapland, Rovaniemi.
