IAI - Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research(français)The IAI is the result of an initiative of interested countries of the Americas of the region who joined together in a cooperative effort to develop the concept and a legal framework for a regional research institute for global change. In 1992, eleven countries of the Americas signed the Agreement establishing the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research. Since then, four other countries, including Canada, have signed the Agreement, and thus joined as founding parties. The following will be the initial research foci for the IAI's Science Agenda:

En 1992, onze pays américains ont signé la convention établissant l'Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research. Depuis lors, quatre autres pays, dont le Canada, ont signé cette convention et se sont ainsi joints aux membres fondateurs.
