CIRAC - Canadian Institute for Research in Atmospheric Chemistry

CIRAC is a unique partnership between 50 industries, consultants, federal and provincial government agencies, and universities across the country and beyond. Membership is open to any organization with an interest in atmospheric chemistry in its broadest sense. From the breadth and depth of expertise within its members, CIRAC is able to design and execute multidisciplinary research programs that might not otherwise be possible. Topics for these studies include climate change, photochemical oxidants, atmospheric toxic substances, and biogenic contributions to atmospheric processes.

CIRAC has recently become the Canadian National Commitee for IGAC (CNC/IGAC). As CNC/IGAC, CIRAC will coordinate the Canadian involvement in IGAC projects and provide two-way communication between IGAC and Canadian experts. CIRAC is a federally-incorporated, non-profit corporation that acts as a major centre for research and education about atmospheric chemistry in Canada.

ICRCA - Institut canadien de la recherche en chimie atmosphérique

L'ICRCA constitue un partenariat unique regroupant une cinquantaine d'industries, de consultants, d'organismes des gouvernements fédéral et provinciaux ainsi que des universités, provenant aussi bien du pays que de l'étranger. Tout organisme intéressé par la chimie atmosphérique dans son sens le plus large peut en faire partie. Grâce à l'ampleur de l'expertise que possèdent ses membres, l'ICRCA est en mesure de concevoir et de réaliser des programmes de recherche multidisciplinaires uniques en leur genre. Les sujets étudiés portent notamment sur le changement climatique, les oxydants photochimiques, les substances atmosphériques toxiques ainsi que les contributions biosynthétiques aux processus atmosphériques.

L'ICRCA est récemment devenu le comité national canadien du PICAG (CNC/PICAG). À ce titre, l'ICRCA coordonnera la participation canadienne aux projets du PICAG et servira de moyen de communication efficace entre l'ICRCA et les experts canadiens. L'ICRCA est une corporation À but non lucratif possédant une charte fédérale qui joue un rôle prédominant en matière de recherche et d'éducation sur la chimie atmosphérique au Canada.
